Ingredients
- 2 Bananas
- 1 - 2 cups of strawberries
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbl Butter
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Brown sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1/2 pint of Heavy cream
- 1 tsp corn starch
- 1 Pre-made graham cracker crust (lazy I know but I was in a hurry and it tasted good)
- Slice the bananas and strawberries
- Make a roux (thickening mixture) with the corn starch and heavy cream - have ready by the stove
- Melt the butter in a skillet on low heat, add the brown sugar, spices, and vanilla
- Add the fruit and increase the heat
- Toss or stir the mixture ensuring that everything cooking and coated in the sugar/spice mixture
- Once the fruit begins to soften add the heavy cream/corn starch roux
- Increase the heat, stir constantly while the mixture thickens
- Pour the thickened mixture ito the pre-made pie crust and tin
- Place in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes
- Remove and let cool, although I dug into it while it was still warm
